Harvest Moon Circle Retreat

Time: There will be 2 small group sessions: 9:00 am – 12 pm & 2:00 pm- 5:00 pm

Harvest Moon Circle Retreat is a mini retreat for individuals to explore holistic practices through guided experiences with trained professionals in a small-group setting. This three-hour retreat will be centered around calming our nervous systems while setting intentions as we usher in the fall season. Autumn itself is a time of change, which we often notice in the shortened days and cooler weather. However, it can also be a busy time of the year as school begins and the holidays quickly approach. It is the perfect opportunity to take a step back, set new intentions, engage in self-care, and transition into the new season. Harvest Moon Circle Retreat will be a unique opportunity for anyone who is interested in creating balance and exploring approaches to wellness that can be brought back to their everyday life. Alex and Jennifer strive to empower individuals to access their own creativity and healing practices through Restorative Yoga/Movement, Sound Healing, and Art-as-Therapy. This retreat will host 5 attendees in total and explore themes of balance through self-soothing practices rooted in light, physical movement and engaging with self-driven creative rituals.

What should I know about the Harvest Moon? The moon is a feminine symbol, universally representing the rhythm of time as it embodies the cycle. The phases of the moon symbolize immortality and eternity, enlightenment or the dark side of Nature herself (umich.edu). The harvest moon is the full moon that occurs closest to the start of Autumn. The name dates from the time before electricity, when farmers depended on the Moon’s light to harvest their crops late into the night (NASA.gov). The harvest moon may represent a time for change and transition.
